Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

i recently purchased a house with 4 acres in a farm area of Georgia. The back 2 acres have previously been rented to a farmer by the previous owners. If I accept the rent for this am I setting a precedent that I won't be able to cancel later if I should decide not to rent it anymore?

You would have to go through the required eviction process - provide at least 60 days' notice to vacate and then file an eviction with the local court if the farmer does not vacate by that date.

You haven't given enough information to answer. In some cases you may be bound by a lease, recorded or unrecorded, depending on what you failed to tell us. The attorney you hired as a buyer's attorney before you did the closing should have answered this for you. I hope you used one.
