I filed a Sexual Harassment Complaint, now I am being asked to Resign

I filed a Sexual Harassment complaint against a fellow co-worker with my Home Office's Legal Department. This was filed ''officially'' after my direct supervisor was informed and did nothing to help me. My direct supervisor ''wrote me up'' for ''bad attitude'' and ''not getting along with others'' after I made the complaint. I have worked here for 16 years and have never been written up before for anything. The person who sexually harassed me was in the room as a ''witness'' to me being written up.. My work environment deteriorated greatly after that.. Six months later, I contacted my Legal Dept in our Home Office... They ''made an investigation'' and determined that nothing could be substantiated... At the same time, another un-related co-worker made an accusation that he had caught me and another co-worker having sexual relations in the office.. No other witnesses, no video tapes, etc. My company has asked me to transfer to another office or resign. I will not resign and there are no other office locations within 100 miles that I could transfer to..

The person that I accused of sexual harassment has had nothing done to them..... Please help, what can I do now, if anything??

If the last act of sexual harassment occurred more than 180 days ago, you may have lost your rights to bring a claim of discrimination for the underlying sexual harassment. You may be able to bring other related claims for that. The company, however, is required to not retaliate against you for your charge of discrimination. They were also required to promptly investigate and remedy the sexual harassment. You should complain to your company that you feel you are being retaliated against for complaining about discrimination. You can also file a charge of discrimination with the EEOC.
