Legal Question in Social Security Law in Georgia
Overpayment of unemployment benefits
I maintained a business license while collecting unemployment benefits. Govt is citing overpayment. I never collected a paycheck from my business. I retired from AT&T after 28 years, never collecting benefits previously. I request an appeal.

Unemployment Compensation benefits are state laws and quite different from federal Social Security benefits, so it may be best to re-post this under a different heading.
I cannot give you specific advice but I can tell you that a denial decision by UC usually has a right to appeal. Check your written denial or call the UC office for specifics.
