My father past away ten years ago. My mother wants his name off of the house deed.Can we do a quit deed or do we have to go the admintrator of estate process first ? He had no will.

No one can tell what you need to do under the facts you have stated. It may be that a "No Administration" will do. Consult with a local attorney.
