Re: will
Owning property together complicates things due to your situation. I would recommend against depending on wills to be your primary means to pass your property even with a property agreement. Especially if you are concerned about any dispute among heirs. A revocable (living) trust would be a little more expensive than wills on the front end but they can save your family a lot of money and heartache at death or incapacity.
Re: will
This is not difficult. You should consult with an attorney to make sure your wishes are covered. If I can be of assistance, please call me.
Re: will
My firm is sensitive to the needs of senior clients with blended families. It would be our pleasure to assist you in the event that you do not wish to utilize an attorney closer to your home. Since this sort of assistance can be provided primarily over the phone and via written communications, there would be no need for you to leave your home in order to obtain assistance.
Re: will
It is important that you see an Elder Care lawyer, who specializes in handling these issues and ones that will (hopefully) appear later in your life. This is a specialty area, and there are many lawyers around who do this. It is a much safer choice than a general practioner who claims to handle just about every area of law. Ask for referrals fron local lawyers, or do a google search for "elder care Lawyers" in your area.
Re: will
Preparing wills for "blended families" is a complex matter. You should consult an experienced estate planning attorney.
