How do I maximize?

I had my foot severely damaged at work. I have very limited mobility with torn tendons, missing bones, nerve damage, and only one major blood vessel left. I know and my doctors tell me I will possibly need more surgery in the future. The I.C. made us an offer, but I its not enough. What should and can I receive. What can I do to maximize my settlement?
