Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Hawaii
My Son has won a wrongfull termination case, which included a criminal case that he won. He won the arbitration, and was represented by a union lawer. As we understand, he can not seek any further action against the State, or county should he accept the decision of the arbitration. Would it be in his better interest to refuse the counties offer to reinstate him, and repay all lost pay, or refuse the offer, and seek damages from the State, and county, and those involved in his wrongfull termination? He was terminated 5 years ago. The arbritration ended about two weeks ago.
