Legal Question in Criminal Law in Idaho
Warrant
During my recent divorce My ex wife went to the police and told them I had made a obscene phone call to her. There was no evidence but basically her words against mine. Anyway there was an arrest warrent issued for me with a 1000 dollar bond. I turned myself in and had to spend the night in jail only to have the county prosecuter ask for the charges to be dissmissed. Was ADA county legally able to issue a warrant based on hersay. I have no arrest or complaints for domestic issues or anything on my record and wonder if my civil rights were violated
Thank You

Re: Warrant
Warrants are always based upon "reliable" hearsay as determined by a magistrate. Domestic violence cases are always her word against his word
