Legal Question in Personal Injury in Idaho

Do parents have legal right in personal injuries

My son was recently seriously injured in a helicopter crash in which it was pilot err. Since he is of legal age as a parent who went through the worst nightmare of my life, do I have legal rights to file suit against the flight company as my son and his wife do? Thank you

Generally speaking a parent would not have any legal rights to a recovery of their own when the child is an adult.

In some states, I believe that an adult can recover for loss of consortium when a child is injured, but that refers to minor children.

If your son was injured in an helicopter crash that was pilot error, then he needs an excellent attorney with experience in aviation crashes. I do not have that experience, but work with some who do. Please feel free to contact me for some direction. 1-800-838-0800

An attorney is crucial particularly in Aviation crash cases because of the high level of investigation that is needed and the quality of the defense counsel.
