Legal Question in Disability Law in Illinois

I have to go to court over an old debt. It is the same recovery company that has taken me to court several times. they know I am on disability and have been for over 10 years but they still take me to court to get a judgement against me. I have asked several times for them to file an discovery of assets but the never do. what is the purpose of this? I will never get better and come off of disability.

Beiing on disability does not stop a creditor from coming after you. However, filing bankruptcy puts an automatic stay on all collection proceedings and allows you to discharge old debt.
