Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois
When I filed bankruptcy(since been discharged), my vehicle loan was included but my atty. was supposed to send a letter of reaffirmation and didn't. The loan co. gave my acct. to their bankruptcy div. and called to see if I was going to cont. to pay for the car on a month to month basis and I agreed. 15 months later I got into finan. trouble due to the economy and fell behind on the auto loan. The lender repossessed and is now trying to make me pay the 10,000.00 shortage after selling the car. Am I legally responsible to pay them since the car was included in my bankruptcy?

No, if car was never reaffirmed you owe no personal liability on the car.
