Employment application
Can an employer do a credit check on an application? I have worked for the company for 4 years and am just asking to advance.....why A Credit check?

This is very common practice these days, particularly if your job involves dealing with money. The idea is to determine how fiscally responsible you are, if you are overburdened by debt and may be likely to pilfer company funds, and that sort of thing. Lots of companies do this routinely now.
