Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
Selling Ad Space Online
I want to start an informational website about technology. I'm not going to sell any products or services to consumers, but would like to sell ad space on the site if traffic becomes substantial. Does this mean I have to become a business? What about legal considerations for maintaining a forum or message board with members who can login for free?

Re: Selling Ad Space Online
it may be best if you incorporated - llc or inc. Generally speaking, incorporating will allow you to insulate yourself personally for liability incurred with respect of the business. As for the website, you should add a legal disclaimer and other information so as to properly protect yourself. Feel free to email me with further questions. [email protected]
