Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Illinois
I have been employed by my company for a little over a year. The policy when I started was paid vacation accured every pay period ( about 4 hours each cycle). My company has since changed their policy stating that you must be employed for 2 years to accrue paid vacation. Can they do this? There also was no communication about it. My first pay cycle of ths year all my vacation was gone and when I asked about then and only then was I told policy had changed. I feel as though there should be some type of grandfather clause. Please inform me if this can be done.
Thank you,
Lisa

If you had accrued vacation prior to te new policy going into effect, they cannot take away vacation you had alrady accrued.
