Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Illinois

Question:

I was driving a friends car and I did not know that it was in repossession, I am not a signer on the car what so ever and the finance company began to call my job and harass my supervisor and ask for my schedule. I don't know how they got my name or employer, well my supervisor called me to inform me of the calls she was getting and she ask me to have them to stop calling because they were getting belligerent. Do I have any legal recourse for them calling my place of employment and me getting rep remanded by my supervisor?

Do you have the car now? If so, return it to your friend. Then contact the collection agency and inform them of this, reque3sting they they cease from any further contact with you. End of story.
