Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
Auto dealer decals
Is it illegal to put a decal or license plate frame advertising the name of a dealership on my car without permission? I took my car in for repairs, drove home, and there it was--Sherman Dodge--in shiny gold letters on my back license plate. I didn't buy the vehicle there, and I also didn't like they way they conduct business.
Thanks.

Probably not. Won't this come off? If it will, there are no real damages to pursue.
