Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
cancelation of a contract
my grandma signed a contract with a landscaping co. to put in a fish pond she had to give 2000 at signing of the contract 2000 when the work starts and 1000 when the work is complete He took the 2000 and left she could not get a hold of him for 25 days, she decided to cancel the work he told her the 2000 was spent on rock so she would not get it back. she then told him to just deliver the rock and give her the balance he told her there was no balance, and he would not deliver no rock. my question is can she get her money back or will she just lose it
