Missed Appointment Lost Compensation?
Hello, I have a question about backcharging a contractor/subcontractor for a missed appointment. an appointment was scheduled for time frame of 7-8 AM on a Thursday. I waited @ home until 9 AM. Nobody showed up or called to cancel. the following monday morning someone called from the contractor to reschedule for the missed appointment this was 3 days later. when questioned about the missed appointment
I was told subcontractor called them to cancel. nobody from the contractor office called to notify us. So the question is can I back charge either the subcontractor or the contractor for lost wages because of the missed appointments? If so how much can I recover? I start work @ 6:30 AM and didn't get to work until 9:45AM. Thank you in advance for any help with this matter. Thanks Bob

It's worth a try. You might be better off trying to get a discount from the contractor if they do work for you.
