Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

I just received a notice from Illinois DHS of an overpayment of SNAP benefits from 2012-2013, which I now need to pay back. I read somewhere that the statute of limitations on these overpayments is one year, and it's now 2015. Is this true? Do I still need to pay back this amount from 2012-2013?
