Is anyone eligible for commutation and pardons, or is it for certail types of sentencing?

In the State of Illinois each inmate or parolee may file a petition to be pardoned by the Governor of the State of Illinois. This applies to all felonies. Misdemeanors can generally be expunged from your records within 2 years after the conviction. However, a felony will remain on a person's record, unless one seeks a pardon by filing a petition with the Illinois Prisoner's Review Board. Will be happy to discuss this in more detail.
