Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

Contacted by Dupage Detective

I contacted my former employer to repay a very large amount of I took and fraudlet credit card purchases with my corporate credit card. But instead of taking the repayment, they contacted a DuPage Detective. Now my attorney is trying to submit a proposal for repayment to the DuPage police/detective.

What happens if they (police) do not accept my propsal? (Sorry to ask this question but my attorney is not very informative)

I would need to know much more about the facts of your case (which you should not post here), but you could be looking at felony charges. You did the right thing by contacting a lawyer. The sooner a lawyer gets involved in a case, the more damage control he or she can do.

You are represented by legal counsel and you should be directing all of your questions to your attorney. If your attorney does not communicate with you, then perhaps you need to find another attorney.
