what punishment could be, feel more victimized by him. what course should i take? kids on parole for prior and probation for other offenses

You could hire an attorney to represent you, and let the attorney assist you through the legal process. Or, you could obtain a copy of the court documents charging the "kid" with this crime since they are public records. They will have the statute alleged to be violated on them, and you can look the appropriate statutes up yourself on the internet regarding punishment. If what you are really saying is that the state's attorney might "go easy" on the "kid", then you don't have a legal complaint. This is now "The People of the State of Illinois" against the "kid", and not you against the "kid",. Of course, you may still consider filing a civil lawsuit against the "kid" for the damages you sustained as a result of the crime, if there is a chance you would actually collect anything.
