Statue Of Limitations on DUI

in 1985 I was convicted of a dui in illinois. Since I was leaving the state, the judge just said dont get caught driving in Illinois. Now Living in florida They recently said that I must clear up the problem in illinois before I can renew My liscense in florida 2011. What can I do?
