Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
false date on charges
during the preliminary hearing the d.a. used the wrong date that the alleged offense occurred. the police report also states the incorrect date. the d.a. questioned the policeman using the wrong date. he also stated it was a t-road intersection and it is a 4 way. my wife also filed a false police report and the d.a. knows this. can this be dismissed with the false dates and a false police report? do i have a good case otherwise?

Re: false date on charges
Hi. In my opinion, you have a good chance of
beating this charge against you on a technicality. However, it still may be necessary
to take the matter to trial to dispose of it.
Follow your lawyer's advice closely. I suggests
a jury.
