Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

my fiance is in jail right now for failure to register as a sex offender for a second time...he already had a bench trial..thats where the states attorney requested he be held without bond. Now he has a sentence hearing in january..would you be able to tell me if he would possibly get prison time, even if he has not violated any other statues of the sex offender laws in illinois

I would not be surprised if you will have to start planning conjugal visits, but he could wind up on a leash instead. If he can't afford an attorney he may be able to have one appointed. But he has to ask for it. If all you're doing is trying to tell him there are consequences, yes there will be, but if he can't figure that out for himself it sounds like you will be spending a lot of your time doing that for him and whether that's worth your effort is something you have to decide for yourself.
