I gave a false police report fifteen years ago in Illinois. No charges were pressed. Is there a statute of limitations? What would my punishment be?

15 years ago, a false police report was no more than a disorderly conduct charge and the fine was $50-100.00 to my recollection. Now it is a class II felony and can be subject to serious punishment. The real question is why do ask at this time about something you did 15 years ago?
