Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Good Morning. I had a fight outside a bar 4 months ago, I received a black eye, and the other guy had to have stitches in a head wound after he hit his head on the sidewalk, I thought that was the end of it as I never contacted the police. Yesterday he called me to say I have to pay his hospital bills of $3500 or he will take me to court. He has a police report of the incident which I didn't know, as I thought it was all over after the incident. I would like to know where I stand on this matter.
