Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
I received a letter from a Best Buy attorney stating I owe $560.94 from an incident in 1/1/2009. I was not arrested at that time and was told to not return to the store which I have not. I cannot afford to pay this, I am on social security and I don't know why I am being contacted now. Can you tell me if I have to pay and if I don't what will happen. Thank you. The case number is4401394

Why is Best Buy asking you to pay $560.94? None of the lawyers responding to posts on LawGuru have access to the case number you provided!!

Really, not enough information. Why don't you consult with an attorney and pay him or her for his or her time and advice?
