Re: retail theft

This is a class A misdemeanor which carries a possible penalty of up to 364 days in jail and a fine of up to $2500. This may not be your disposition, however, how the case is handled can affect your future. Retail theft is a crime of dishonesty, a record of which can seriously hurt job prospects. An experienced attorney will consider not only the short term outcome, but the long term effects as well. You would be well advised to have a lawyer with you. If you wish to discuss the matter further please respond by return e-mail.

You could go to jail if convicted so you absolutely need a lawyer. If you want a recommendation of an attorney that does nothing but criminal defense in the county your case is in and will give a free consultation please let us know.
