Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
My son was communicating with the singer of a band. This guy offered to sell my son his laptop computer. My son sent him the $600.00 that he was asking for it. And never received the laptop. After several attempts to call and talk to this guy he told my son that someone must have "hacked" his account. However, my son has since found out that this guy has ran the same scam on several different people. What can we do about this and the steps we need to take. I don't think this guy should be allowed to continue to do this to people. My son works hard for his money. It is fraud and we just need to know the steps to take to stop this guy.
