Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
I am a teacher who has been falsely accused of abuse by a student. I was notified that there was an ongoing investigation 2 months after the claim was made. I was totally shocked at the claim. I signed a contract and start a new school in a few weeks. Should I tell my new employer what is going on? I was interviewed by a DCFS (Illinois) investigator and was told I would receive a letter stating if the claim was founded or not. I don't know what to do.

you should have consulted with a lawyer before talking to DCFS and my advice is to consult with one now! You can call me at 312-372-5600 to discuss further.
