DUI conviction?
My husband got a DUI 23 years ago (in IL). The cop did not show up for court and he thought he remembered hearing case dismissed. The DUI does not appear on his IL driving abstract from the dmv. Is this considered a conviction on his record and does he have to report this on job applications?

Re: DUI conviction?
He needs to look at his court purposes driving abstract from the Illinois Secretary of State. An abstract is his driving record. However, be careful, and be certain, that the abstract is clearly marked court purposes. If it is not marked court purposes, you are looking at an incomplete record. If the DUI is not on the court purposes driving record, then it is not showing up against him, likely due to the fact it was dismissed or other reason. If its not there, then he is free of it!
Re: DUI conviction?
IF the DUI case was truly dismissed, there is not a DUI conviction on his record.
