Age requirements to perform at a bar

My band and I have been playing every Monday night at a local bar, untill recently without problems. I, and my band mates are under 21 and we are curious as to whether you must be 21 to perform at a bar assuming we consume no alcohol, and are not involved with the sale, or distribution?

The problem is not your performance but your presence. No one is supposed to be in the bar who is under 21. Your performing or not performing is irrelevant.
