Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I have an autisic son. I have no family, no money, nor a job. Am I able to get a public defender? I have doctors appointments coming up in a couple of weeks and he said he will not pay the co-pay nor the remaining dollars that accure of the visits. I need to know what rights I have in this situation.

I have no idea what your asking. Why do you need a public defender? Are you charged with some crime? If so, what? Who is "he" that will not pay the copays or other expenses for the doctor's visits? I assume the child's father, however, has he been found by a court to be the child's father? Is there any court order or other agreement requiring him to make these payments? How old is the child?

If you are looking for child support enforcement, contact the State's Attorney's Office at 28 North Clark, Chicago, 3rd floor and they should be able to help you.
