Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Calibris Divorce

I am 13 years old, my mom and dad are getting divorced. My mom wants a calibris divorce and I wanted to know what is that kind of divorce? Also, what happens when a couple gets a divorce of that kind?

Re: Calibris Divorce

I think she is talking about a "collaborative" divorce. This is a way of resolving a divorce without court action (hearings, trials) and can be a much better way of resolving a divorce case. I am a member of the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois (www.collablawil.org) and the site has details about the collaborative process.

Hope this helps explain things.
