Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My dad left me and my mom when I was only like four years old. So my mom and I moved out the apartment that we had and now that my mom is remarried and have another kid my dad wants to take me with him. He has told me that hes going to get all the information as possible so he can take me away. I've told my mom not to worry even though he left us he can't take me back because my mom suppoted me and did everything she could to keep me save. Now that im about to reach my working age he wants me back. Im scared! so I would like to know if its true that he can take me away from my mom.

If you're about to reach your "working" age, which I assume is 16 or older, there is no way that a court would order you to go live with your father. I suggest, however, that rather than for you to try and be your mother's lawyer, that you both contact a legal aid service or an attorney in your area for assistance.
