Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Heading

I have been served by my ex by 1st class mail that she filed a motion to get out of paying child support. There is an agreed order that she should pay.. Can I respond by mail or do I have to appear in court? If I don't appear what are the chances the judge can rule one way or the other? Thank you

Florida - a parent can not waive the responsibility to pay child support. Don't sign anything. I suggest that you have an attorney review what you received from your ex. Feel free to contact me. (954)966-4140 Melody Stickel-Martinez, Esq.
