Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
My husband and i have been married for two years. We bought a house while married both names are on the deed but he made sure that his name was on the loan and only his. I have recieved messages from other people saying that he has a girlfriend and has been around with about 8 other woman in our two years of marriage.
Since i have caught on to all of this we have been arguing more and more. He is telling me that i will be the ine moving out of the house and he did the loan for the house the way he did for a reason of us not working out.
Hes very emotionally abusive and very manipulative. What are my rights to our house? Will i more than likely be the one to move out.

the Deed determines ownership, not the debt. your name is on the Deed, you own the house. your name is not on the mortgage and note, you are not responsible to pay the note, as far as the lender is concerned; however, anything acquired during the marriage is a marital asset and any debt incurred is a marital debt.
