In the IL is a requirement to have life insurance in order to get divorced with a non-minor child?

There is no statutory authority for a court to order a party to maintain life insurance, except if child support is being paid. That may include contribution to college. The law is unclear if a court has power to order life insurance if a party is paying mantenance.
