Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I live in Illinois. I am the mom. I have residential custody of my son. His father has not seen him in 2 1/2 years. Has not paid child support in 1 year. I don't even know where the father is. I want to move to Montana, where I am from. My family is there and I have a job waiting for me. I have family to help with my son. I have no one here. What are the steps I need to take to get permission from the courts to move to Montana with him?
