i have more then normal visits with my children. can i claim one on taxes

That is something that you will need to decide with the other parent - and if the parent is unwilling to agree, you will need to bring the issue before a judge in court. If you are both claiming the same child(ren) on your tax returns, it is a red flag for the IRS to audit you.
