Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I had physical custody of my daughter for 11 years.Now my ex has custody and has filed for child support.He did not pay me a dime for 11 years .Am i going to have to pay him? He didnt work for 11 years so I didnt file for support because there was nothing to get..I supported him as well during our relationship.Our tax records will support all this information

He is entitled to support. You deciding not to ask for support back when you had the child doesn't mean the child shouldn't receive financial help from its mother now.

While I agree with my colleague that you do need to support your child, it may be possible to seek retroactive support for the years you cared for your child.
