Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
I'm currently in the process of getting divorced. My lawyer filed a motion to take my husband to court for his status. The lawyer indicated I do not need to be at the court that day. This does not sound right to me as my husband filed as a pauper. Is this normal? I am on disability and make more than my husband.

1 - If you do not trust your lawyers's advise, then change lawyers
2 - It is just a status - there is no need for you to be there You have the right to be there, but nothing is going to happen.
3 - depending on what your husband has and has not filed , the court will order him to do what he should have done
