Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
I recently got divorced April 30. I didn't receive a copy of the decree until a couple of days ago. I was informed by my lawyer about a month before the divorce was final that my husbands lawyer said that he wanted to claim my daughter on his taxes until I start working and then every other year after that. My lawyer told me that she told him no. When I got a copy of my divorce decree it says that I agreed to it. What can I do? I am the sole custodial parent. I'm living with my mother and has allowed my mother to claim her.

Get a job so you can start claiming her every other year.
