Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois
I am currently on disability, have been since 2006. This will not change. I live in Illinois. Planning to have a civil union in April in my state of Illinois. Will a civil union effect my social security disability income that I receive monthly?

The answer to your question depends on what type of disability you are on. Generally, getting married (entering into a civil union) should not affect your disability payment entitlement though it could affect other assistance you might be receiving where household income is taken into account for eligibility.
