What do I do about invasion of medical information and broadcast?

I was using my brothers girlfriend's address and home number.I went to the hospital to be tested for herpes.They told me the results would be sent to my OB/GYN.The nurse from the office called and left a message for me.My brother's girlfriend and her cousin listened to the message.Her cousin took it upon herself to call and pretend to be me.My information was released to her without any verification that it was the right person.When I called the office I was then made aware that the info had already been released.Months later my brother and his girlfriend broke up and I was accused of knowing that he was cheating.She took it upon herself to spread what was supposed to be confidential information. Do I have a case? Is it worth my time?

You are getting into a very complicated issue with the detail of your question. Slander is the spreading of FALSE information to a third party. She could technically be charged with i.d. theft if she impersonated you. However, you have a tough road ahead to prove everything.
