I was making payments on my friends car for him on his contract and his parents took the car back now they are threatening to sue us icause the note is $500 behind but finance company said its not do they have a case

A lot of information is missing. Did your friend buy a car but you made the payments directly to the lender? When you were making payments, were you driving the car? Is that why you were making the payments? How long has the car been in the parents' possession. Are you still making the payments? If not, when did you stop making the payments?
