Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

Text Message Attack

A former employee of mine just sent me a text message and it reads:

''Hey (.....) Fuck you. Your a fake piece of shit and dont give a shit about anyone But yourself. Fuck student painters.''

I would like to know what my rights are and if I can pursue this matter with any legal discipline.

My company has been sued wrongly (later dropped) because of a junk fax that was never sent. I have to imagine that this would fall into the same category.

Junk fax is a statutorily created offense.

So far as I am aware, there are no laws against texting an insult to a person, once. If it becomes harassment, that will be another issue.
