Legal Question in Immigration Law in Illinois

Is deployment requirement for eligibility for naturalization under section 329 of INA. I was denied rights under section 329 of INA because my unit was not deployed even though I was on active duty with my reserve unit inside USA.

Thank You

I believe the only requirement is being on active duty status. Immigration doesn't always get it right. It also depends on what type of paperwork you submitted. I am getting a lot of veterans coming out of the woodwork because of state's requiring proof of citizenship in order to renew driver's licenses, etc.

I hope this helps. Of course, without knowing all the information surrounding your application, I cannot give an opinion on your particular situation.

Take care,
