Legal Question in Insurance Law in Illinois
Employer did not pay Ins. Premiums
I was working for a company last year that although they were taking money from my chech for health care, they did not pay the premiums. They have since filed bankruptcy and I am left with $12,000.00 in doctor and hospital bills. What if anything can I do? Are these bills my sole responsibility?

Re: Employer did not pay Ins. Premiums
Hello. In my opinion you can file a lawsuit
against your employer. The company took your
money and did not pay your insurance premiums.
That's fraud. I suggests you take immediate
action. The fact that the company filed bank-
ruptcy is another issue that probably will not
affect your claim. I will be happy to answer
any additional questions that you might have.
